Kickstarter getting a 5% cut of the funds seems kinda weird. I mean yeah sure they have bills to pay and “here’s my kickstarter” sounds a bit more trustworthy than “here’s my paypal”, but at some point you’re giving them a thousand bucks for a webpage with a link to a third-party payment processor that takes its own cut. Hussie gave $120,000 to kickstarter and $47,000 to amazon’s payment thingy (shittily estimated). :|

Swinging Blind Juggler, a robot that juggles a ball from side to side with an actuated paddle attached to a pendulum. The robot is called “blind”, because it has no cameras to “see” the ball. In fact, the Swinging Blind Juggler has no sensors to detect the ball at all.
I have a hard time conciliating this with my feeble knowledge of chaos theory.
It only has to be stable for half a cycle to make an animated gif!
